Kiki Koala; one of the most popular Animatastic family members.

Recently people have begun taking a real interest in Kiki the Koala and so we thought it may be interesting to share some information about her.

It is still a commonly held misconception (outside their native Australia) that Koalas are bears due to their similarity in appearance. However koalas are in fact marsupials - animals whom carry their young in a pouch. Koalas are found exclusively in eastern and southern Australia.

The koala is a herbivore, meaning that it eats only vegitation, and it's diet consists almost entirely of eucalyptus leaves. Interestingly, koalas are one of very few mammals (other than primates) that have 'human-like' fingerprints.

Kiki Koala is a particularly cute and cuddly character. Although koalas are actually an ash-grey color, Kiki's fur gives off a pretty blueish sheen in the sunlight.
